Rock the Vote

I received this today from UnCommon Sense TV.

Hard hitting but accurate point from Cenk Uygur below (a man incidentallywho was a lifelong Republican until this current regime came to power)....To vote for GOP candidates at this time is to tacitly agree to this and to give your open blessings to these policies. *All* members of the GOP (withthe quite notable exception of Rep. Ron Paul from Texas, who has publically called for the impeachment of the Bush administration, and perhaps a few others I am not aware of but who have also done so) serve as enablers and apologists for the criminal policies of this group. Any support of candidates who allow this so-called political party (which functions moreas an organized criminal syndicate than a political party at this stage),allows them to effectively continue to wield the mechanisms of control that they use to be able to wreck havoc on what is left of our republic and steal from the public commons. All GOP candidates serve, if not as overt participants in this, then as useful pawns who run interference for the likes of a crime machine known as the modern American GOP.

Regardless of your past political leanings, I would ask that before you go to the polls next week, please get more info on your candidates. Google your state or county Board of Elections. Ask yourself, what are the important issues that need dealt with? Check voting records and who is supporting them. My personal goal is to vote for as many candidates as I can who haven't been in the government previously. Folks who are out in the real world and understand how the rest of the world lives, works and worries. But that is my opinion--you do what is right for you. And don't listen to those who say, "if you vote for __________, you're only giving your vote to __________." Your vote is your vote and you should be able to cast it for whomever you feel can do the job. If green party candidates gain ground, it sends a message to those in power that environmental issues need to be tackled. Vote what you believe.
